Kendriya Vidyalaya
No.6 Pratap Nagar, Jaipur
A Report
Distinguished chief guest
Sh.C.P Achary (Former Principal
KVNo.6 Jaipur), respected
Principal, staff, parents
and students. It is with great
pleasure to present before
you all Annual Report of physical
education department for the
academic year 2009-10.
The very existence of man
depends on his physical movements.
Physical education is often
misunderstood to be either
sports or doing P.T drills
in school. Although the efforts
have been made in this regard,
but it needs to be given more
importance to understand its
real meaning. Old civilizations
have proved that men moved
from one place to another
in search of food. They did
not have shelter or houses
to live in. The danger of
wild animals was always there
so the key to their survival
was the physical fitness of
their body.
Physical education is a part
of total education process
and is made up to two words
‘Physical & Education’.
Education is modification
in human behavior. So the
meaning of physical education
is the modification in behavior
through various physical activities.
Physical education helps in
developing the body physically,
mentally, socially, emotionally
and spiritually.
This year we have conducted
Inter House Games & Sports
competitions in volleyball,
kho-kho, T.T, Badminton, Cricket
U-16 & U-19, chess etc
and also Athletics competitions
like 100,200,800,50 mts race,
Seek race, Lime & Spoon
race, Three Legged race, shotput,
relay race for both boys &
girls. Yoga and Mass P.T is
regular activity in the morning
assembly on every Wednesday.
We are also giving exposer
to the students in local games
& sports tournaments conducted
by various sports associations.
Six of our students participated
in the chess tournament organized
by the Sakshi Chess Academy
Jaipur and got mementos and
merit certificate. We have
also conducted Mini Meet for
Primary class students i.e.
class I to V under the Commom
Minimum Programme.
Our students also participated
in the KVs Regional Meet in
volleyball, cricket, kho-kho,
T.T and badminton conducted
at Jodhpur, Deoli and Anta
respectively. 07 students
of this vidyalaya also got
selected to represented KVs
Jaipur Region in the KVs National
Meet to be organized by Delhi
Region from 13th to 20th Nov
2008.
I am highly grateful to my
Principal Sh. C.P Sharma who
had given me full support
and provided all the facilities
to conduct the Annual Sports
Day successfully. I thank
all the staff members who
extended their whole hearted
support and co-operation to
me. I thank all the parents
, guest and dignitaries for
their gracious presence on
Annual Sports Day Celebration
to motivate the children.
I thank our Chief guest Sh.
C.P Acharya(former principal)
for sparing his precious time
to grace the occasion. He
is guiding force to our students.
At last but not the least
I would be failing in my duties
if I don’t thank my students
who really toiled very much
to make this day a grand success.
I thank one and all.
